Another Thanksgiving Party!

Yesterday was our Thanksgiving Feast with the 4 year old classes. They brought lots of yummy snacks to share and we made these awesome turkeys:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! See you next Tuesday!

Little Turkeys!

Friday was our big "Thanksgiving Feast" with the three year old class! As you can see, they had quite the spread:

Pudding, crackers, fruit roll-ups, oreos, marshmallows and more. That is my kind of feast!

The kiddos also had a great time making "Turkey Hats." I had to laugh because a few of them got a little carried away with the glue and may have went home with glue on their heads. Oh well- Thanksgiving only comes once a year! :) (and I am thankful for washable glue!)

Number Books and Lovely Leaves

Last week the 4 year old class was so excited to finish their number books- and they were super excited to take them home! Each week they have practiced writing the number of the week, then they got to add shapes along with the number. They were also excited to write "The End" at the end of the book... I think it gave them a big sense of accomplishment!

We also did a fun art project last week- we used Karo syrup to finger paint leaves. It was messy, gooey and fun! The leaves are STILL drying, but I hung them up anyways! :) Check them out:

And, a few updates:

Book orders have been ordered and should be on their way!

Next week we will just have school on Tuesday. Please have your child bring a snack to share with the class- we'll be having a Thanksgiving Feast! :) Some ideas of things to bring are: baby carrots, olives, crackers, chocolate chips, pretzels, etc. We do have nut allergies in our classes, so please do not send anything with nuts. Thanks!

Have a great week!

Thankful Turkeys

In class we have been talking about all the things we are thankful for. Last Thursday, each student got to write down one thing they are thankful for and we added them to our class turkeys. They did a great job!

Afternoon Class:

Also, ask your child to show you the "Turkey" Poem we have been learning in class- it is too cute!
"I have a turkey big and fat.
He spreads his tail and walks like that.
His daily corn he would not miss,
and when he talks it sounds like this:
gobble gobble gobble gobble!"

Firestation Field Trip!

What better way to learn about the letter "F" than to go on a Field trip to the Firestation! The Eagle Mountain Fire Department did a great job and we had lots of fun on our field trip last Friday!

Thank you, parent volunteers! We couldn't have gone without you! :)

Updates

Wow- I didn't realize that I hadn't updated for 2 weeks! Sorry about that! Halloween is a busy time of year for me- my husband's birthday, my daughter's birthday and then all the Halloween craziness makes October a busy month!

We had a great time with our Halloween parties on Thursday and Friday! The kids were very well behaved and they all did a great job with the program- I hope you enjoyed the fun songs and poems we learned!

November is always a great month- we will be focusing on and talking about all the things we are grateful for. I love this time of year!

Thanks for checking in! I promise to update more often from now on! :)
