Fabulous Field Trips!

Last week I was lucky to go on not one, but TWO field trips! The first was our field trip to Little Caesar's with the four year old class....

This is one of my favorite field trips. Why? Because we get free pizza, of course! The kids got to make 2 pizzas to bring back to class to eat. So much fun!

In the three year old class we visited the Eagle Mountain Library. Our class was so good.. they were very quiet in the library. They got to listen to a story, see what is upstairs in the library and learn how to take care of library books.

A big thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers!

We're Back!

Wow! It's been a whole month since I updated this blog- SLACKER! Hee hee hee! We've been back for 2 weeks and here are some of the fun things we have done:

We made sparkly snowflakes....

So cute!

And this week we have had so much fun learning the letter "P." Really- who knew the letter P was so fun? I especially loved all the creative things the kids brought for show and tell that started with P: pictures, pears, peaches, pony's, puppies, piggy banks, Peter Parker, pj's, and pop rocks... too fun!
Of course we had to have a pj day....

and we spent some cozy time reading to our "little buddies!"

And of course we had to have pancakes for our snack:

It has been such a fun two weeks! :)

Happy SinterKlaas Day (early!)

We talked about how they celebrate Christmas in Holland. On December 6th, they celebrate Sinterklaas Day. The children place their wooden shoes by the fireplace and fill them with carrots and hay for Sinterklaas' horse. In the morning, they hope their shoes will be filled with treats and gifts from Sinterklaas. We decided to try it out in our class!

And it worked! We put our shoes by the fireplace and went back to class to do our work. Before we went home we went to check our shoes and guess what? Sinterklaas left treats for us! He even left treats for the kids who were absent today! Lucky! The kids LOVED this! :)

Today was just one of those wonderful days at preschool- the kind that makes me love what I do! I am so lucky!

Little Turkeys!

Friday was our big "Thanksgiving Feast" with the three year old class! As you can see, they had quite the spread:

Pudding, crackers, fruit roll-ups, oreos, marshmallows and more. That is my kind of feast!

The kiddos also had a great time making "Turkey Hats." I had to laugh because a few of them got a little carried away with the glue and may have went home with glue on their heads. Oh well- Thanksgiving only comes once a year! :) (and I am thankful for washable glue!)
