When can we use the front door?

I'm sure many of you are wondering when we can use the front door at preschool! Well, here is the answer: the concrete is dry and we can walk on it. The only problem is that they haven't put our railing back up, and I am worried that someone might fall on the driveway. So, we'll keep using the backyard for drop-offs and pick ups. Don't worry though, we have been using our time wisely after you drop your child off at school.

We have been practicing our large motor skills! Like how to make a line....

and how to fly like an airplane....

.

and how to jump off a rock! We have also been working on skipping and galloping. I am going to be sad when the weather gets cold and we can't play outside anymore!

First Week of Preschool!

We had a great first week of school! Your kids are so sweet and amazingly smart! We are going to have a wonderful year!

We did have an EXCITING first week.... Miss Marci had a new driveway poured:

The kids were really great to work for a few minutes, then go to the window and see what the workers were doing:

We spent quite a lot of time looking out the window last week! :)

We also had a fun APPLE day in the 4 year old classes. We tasted different apples and made a graph of our favorite kinds:

and we made an apple collage art project:

and we read lots of great books! It was a fun week! :)

Fabulous Field Trips!

Last week I was lucky to go on not one, but TWO field trips! The first was our field trip to Little Caesar's with the four year old class....

This is one of my favorite field trips. Why? Because we get free pizza, of course! The kids got to make 2 pizzas to bring back to class to eat. So much fun!

In the three year old class we visited the Eagle Mountain Library. Our class was so good.. they were very quiet in the library. They got to listen to a story, see what is upstairs in the library and learn how to take care of library books.

A big thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers!

We're Back!

Wow! It's been a whole month since I updated this blog- SLACKER! Hee hee hee! We've been back for 2 weeks and here are some of the fun things we have done:

We made sparkly snowflakes....

So cute!

And this week we have had so much fun learning the letter "P." Really- who knew the letter P was so fun? I especially loved all the creative things the kids brought for show and tell that started with P: pictures, pears, peaches, pony's, puppies, piggy banks, Peter Parker, pj's, and pop rocks... too fun!
Of course we had to have a pj day....

and we spent some cozy time reading to our "little buddies!"

And of course we had to have pancakes for our snack:

It has been such a fun two weeks! :)
